Angel Onofre is a Chicago-based artist, animator, and designer with over 15 years of professional experience across game development, illustration, motion graphics, and visual design. A graduate of Columbia College Chicago with a BA in Art and Animation, his work is known for blending dark, horror-inspired aesthetics with bold, playful characters and vivid color. A visual language shaped by a lifelong obsession with video games, horror films, comics, cartoons, skate culture, and heavy metal.

His independent artwork has been featured in solo gallery exhibitions and group shows across Chicago, published in official art books for Netflix's Stranger Things, 20th Century Fox's Firefly, and Universal Studios' The Thing, and displayed at conventions and art festivals throughout the United States. Most recently his work was selected for two exhibitions at the Design Museum of Chicago.

Professionally, Angel works as a Senior Animator at Wargaming, where he animates characters and creates visual assets for World of Tanks across licensed collaborations with properties including Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, WWE, G.I. Joe, KISS, and Motörhead. Over the course of his career he has contributed to 50+ shipped titles for clients including Disney, Nickelodeon, Hasbro, ABCmouse, LeapFrog, and Fisher-Price.

Outside of studio work, Angel independently develops and publishes his own games, takes on freelance design and illustration projects and remains an active presence in Chicago's art and music communities.
